..............................
From
his beginnings on the North Coast, Todd Hart has played his unique
style of blues and classic rock all over the world. Playing coffee houses, acoustic venues, and underground
clubs for the formative years, he enjoyed great notoriety as an acoustic guitarist. "Started listening to Freddie King, Johnny Winter, Clapton, and the great masters of the blues, and there the love affair began. "From then on it was a clear course". Joining with his good friend Clyde Deubel and guitar monster Danny Young, he formed "BushRock" in 1975, and played Cleveland local scene for 2 years. In 1977, he formed what would be his life's mantra - "Todd Hart's Blues Power Trio". Playing every Thursday for more than 4
years at the Flipside in Cleveland with Robert Jr. Lockwood, the
Generators, Richard Whittington, Mr. Stress, The Numbers Band, Glen Shwartz, and
more, he gathered the popularity and support of friends and fans, and
played for nearly ten years,
becoming "Cleveland's Original Rock n' Roll/Blues Power
Trio". After the untimely death of original founding member and
dear friend/bassist - R. Timothy Smith, Todd joined his friend, world
famous blues guitarist Kim Simmonds, and his legendary blues/rock
group "Savoy Brown", and toured from Florida to the
Northwest Territories, Newfoundland to Alaska, and most points in between.
"I miss my music", he said, and saying good-bye to Kim and
Savoy Brown, repeated the basic beauty of his long-running power trio
to form Todd Hart and the Thang. Touring out of his second home
Memphis Tennessee, and playing the Mid-South district from the Florida
Keys to mid - Texas, he stopped touring only to record three albums of all
original material, including the American classic "What Doesn't
Kill You - Makes You Stronger" ( 1992).
Over the years, and thousands and thousands of gigs, "Todd Hart's
Blues Power Trio" has regularly been performing on such classic
